A 50-year-old woman suffered severe multiple injuries this Friday after falling several meters down a slope in the Arguineguín area, in the Gran Canaria municipality of Mogán. The incident mobilized a large emergency team that managed to rescue her and transport her to a hospital.
A 50-year-old woman was seriously injured this Friday, September 12, 2025, after falling down a slope on Dibicenas Street, in the Arguineguín area of the Mogán municipality. The incident occurred at 13:33 p.m., when the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 received an alert that a hiker had fallen several meters and had been struck by a rock during the descent.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assisted the victim at the scene, where she was assessed and stabilized before being evacuated. The woman suffered severe multiple injuries and was transported by medical ambulance to the Gran Canaria University Hospital for specialized care.
The operation involved members of the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium, who collaborated with medical personnel to immobilize the injured woman and rescue her on a stretcher. Members of the Mogán Civil Protection, the Local Police, and the Civil Guard secured the area and prepared the corresponding reports.
