The Department of Roads and Works begins the works after receiving the mandatory authorization from the General Directorate of Coasts
The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, through the Department of Roads and Public Works, headed by Araceli Armas in coordination with Eduardo Armas, is launching improvement work on the El Castillo del Romeral natural pool area. This project is intended to ensure the safety, accessibility, and enhancement of this space.
The works, which are being carried out after obtaining the required authorization from the Coastal Authority, the process for which began in October 2023, have a total budgeted cost of approximately €531000,00. The initial phase will include resurfacing the slab of the pool solarium, currently deteriorated by the passage of time and exposure to the marine environment. The work also includes replacing the stairs and handrails leading into the water. Subsequently, in a second phase, the promenade railing and the 18 existing streetlights on both sections of the Paseo Marítimo and on Párroco Francisco Cabrera Street will be replaced, which will improve both the safety and the overall image of this emblematic coastal enclave.
Araceli Armas emphasizes that "these actions are part of the municipal strategy for responsible management and conservation of public spaces, ensuring that infrastructure for local and tourist use is in the best possible condition."
"The objective of this project is to improve the safety and quality of life for residents and visitors, promoting a management model that cares for and preserves public assets while enhancing the attractiveness of our municipality," emphasized Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez. With this initiative, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to the maintenance and modernization of municipal facilities, promoting a more accessible, safe, and enjoyable environment for all.
