25 years of peace. The management of the exclusive Pasito Blanco Marina in southern Gran Canaria now has a long-term horizon, extending until 2051. Puertos Canarios has officially granted an exceptional extension to the public domain concession to Puerto Deportivo Pasito Blanco (Canarias), SLU, ensuring its operation for an additional 25 years.
This agreement, formalized on July 25, 2025, and published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC), guarantees operational continuity and a commitment to investment in one of the island's most important and strategic marinas, located in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
The Puertos Canarios Board of Directors Agreement, of which Santiago de Armas is a party through the Las Palmas Chamber of Commerce, establishes clear economic and investment conditions. The concessionaire must pay an annual fee of €163.457,95, a figure that will be updated annually with the increase in the CPI. As a fundamental counterpart for this extension, the entity is required to make a substantial investment: a total outlay of €3.397.319,40. This figure represents more than 50% of the updated valuation of the port's initial investment, underscoring its commitment to modernization.
In addition to the main investment in the facilities, additional expenditures are required for maintenance and replacement of the existing infrastructure, amounting to €872.519,49. The exceptional extension of the concession, which covers the entire marina, not only ensures the entity's presence in Gran Canaria but also commits millions of euros to the continuous improvement of the service for recreational boat users. The formalization of this announcement closes an administrative process that provides stability to the operation of Pasito Blanco for the coming decades.
