Alejandro Marichal: "We will not allow this uncivil behavior and will always act firmly to defend the cleanliness and care of the municipality."

Ruyman Cardoso: "This type of discharge causes serious environmental damage and is punishable by fines of between 3.000 and 30.050 euros."

The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council's Department of Cleaning and Waste has reported a new illegal dumping of debris on public roads, specifically in a facility located in the Las Tabaibas area of El Tablero. The incident occurred in August, when surveillance cameras installed on San Salvador Street captured two individuals unloading a large quantity of sacks of debris from a white Renault vehicle, which were then placed directly into the waste compactor located on the site.

The rapid detection of the spill allowed the images to be transferred to the Local Police, who identified the vehicle involved and confirmed that it was leased to the company Ramand Estructuras SL, ultimately responsible for the violation. This behavior violates the Municipal Cleaning Ordinance (Article 41). Therefore, the Local Police have initiated disciplinary proceedings that may entail fines of between €3.005 and €30.050, depending on the severity of the incident.

The First Deputy Mayor, Alejandro Marichal, and the Councilor for Cleaning and Waste, Ruymán Cardoso, agreed that this type of behavior "cannot go unpunished." Marichal emphasized that "we want to send the message to the public that we will not allow this uncivil behavior and that we will always act firmly to defend the cleanliness and care of the municipality." For his part, Cardoso emphasized that "these discharges represent a serious environmental threat and a lack of respect for all residents who comply with the regulations, so the Department will continue to strengthen surveillance at various points in the municipality."

With this action, the Department of Cleaning and Waste reaffirms its commitment to protecting the environment and the safety and well-being of residents. The institution emphasizes that citizen collaboration is essential to eradicate the dumping of garbage, belongings, and debris in unauthorized locations, to report such behavior, and to achieve a cleaner, more sustainable, and more environmentally friendly municipality together.
