The property had already been the subject of an investigation in August, which ended with the arrest of another resident for drug trafficking and who was ordered to be immediately imprisoned.

National Police officers assigned to the Local Judicial Police Brigade of the Maspalomas Police Station proceeded to evict a home located in the "El Patronato" residential area in San Fernando de Maspalomas, by order of the Investigative Court No. 3 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, which also authorized the arrest of its resident, a man with an extensive criminal record.
The building, a source of social alarm among residents due to its links to drug trafficking and public safety, had already been the target of a special operation carried out in August by the same investigators. This operation resulted in the arrest of another resident, who was imprisoned for his involvement in drug dealing.
In the operation carried out on September 25, officers arrested a second suspect, a man also involved in drug trafficking, seizing 114,68 grams of heroin, 23,58 grams of cocaine, €4.100 in cash, two precision scales, and a mobile phone.
With this intervention, the National Police put an end to a hotbed of neighborhood insecurity, permanently evicting the building's occupants, who were living in unsanitary conditions and lacking the minimum standards of habitability and hygiene.
In addition, a drug retail outlet that had caused serious concern among area residents was eliminated.
Once at the police station, officers were able to verify that the detainee was in an irregular situation and that he had a valid expulsion order from the national territory.
After being brought before the competent judicial authority, he was ordered to be immediately imprisoned.
