The mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Francisco García, and the councilor for festivities, Arminda Santana, presented the program for the festivities this Friday, which can now be viewed on the municipal website. www.santaluciagc.com and on the City Council's social media. The mayor emphasized that "these San Rafael festivities are, along with those of Santa Lucía, the most important in our municipality. That's why every year at City Hall we make a significant effort to host activities that reach all audiences. Although they are organized by the Festivities Department, these festivities would not be possible without the collaboration of other departments such as Public Services, Street Cleaning, Public Services, and the Police."

Tribute to Pedro Grimón

The mayor stated, "I'm convinced we'll have a great opening speech with Manolo Matos, and I'm delighted with this well-deserved tribute to Pedro Grimón, a defender of Canarian popular culture." García concluded, "In the program, you'll see that we have almost twenty days to enjoy these festivities, which, in addition to promoting community and tradition, also contribute to the municipality's economy."

Councilor for Festivities Arminda Santana thanked "the social and sports groups that collaborate in the realization of this program of events, the people of Punto J, and many cultural groups, different municipal areas and the parish of San Rafael, because together they make the realization of these festivities possible." The deacon of the parish of San Rafael, Paco Miras, thanked the City Council "for its support in the realization of these co-patronal festivities of the municipality. I hope that San Rafael helps us all on the path of life so that there is dialogue, coexistence and tranquility, and that we enjoy the festivities and show solidarity and remember those who have less."
