San Bartolomé de Tirajana holds an open day at the municipal CETA to promote responsible adoption.

MASPALOMAS24H Saturday, October 04 from 2025

The Department of Health and Animal Welfare invites the public to visit the Temporary Animal Shelter facilities and promote pet adoption as an act of love and commitment.

Under the slogan "If you want to know true friendship... adopt," the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council is organizing an Open House at the municipal CETA (Center for the Protection of Animals) next Saturday, October 11, from 09:30 a.m. to 13:00 p.m., on the road to Lomo Gordo. The event seeks to raise awareness about the importance of responsible adoption and offer an opportunity for families to meet animals waiting for homes.

During the event, the center's staff will show the facilities and explain the adoption process, as well as provide information on pet care, education, and well-being. This initiative aims to showcase the daily work carried out at the Temporary Animal Shelter (CETA) and highlight the municipal commitment to respect and protection of animals.

The Department of Animal Health and Welfare encourages all those considering adding a pet to their lives to participate. Adopting not only saves a life, but also builds a relationship based on loyalty and affection.
