The selected hotels include the Marina Elite (4 stars), Hotel Concorde de Las Palmas (4), Abora Catarina (4), Abora Interclub Atlantic (4) and the Mirador Maspalomas by Dunas (3), as well as the Apartamentos Jardín del Atlántico (3), Apartamentos Lara (3), Bull Astoria (3), Bungalows Nido del Águila (3) and the Green Field (3).
These accommodations, located mainly in Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, and San Agustín, represent a strategic part of the island's senior segment, providing stability to hotel occupancy outside of peak season. According to industry sources, the Imserso program guarantees an average occupancy rate of over 70% during the months of lower demand, helping to maintain employment and tourism activity on the southern coast.
The program's full return after adjustments in previous years coincides with a moderate rise in hotel prices in the Canary Islands and increased competition from destinations such as Turkey and North Africa. However, hoteliers in southern Gran Canaria are confident that the Imserso program will continue to act as a buffer against the seasonality of European tourism.
