Three days after the grand farewell to Maspalomas Pride by Freedom 2026, the Eurovision spirit takes over with a new pop festival celebrating diversity, music, and freedom.
Maspalomas, one of the most emblematic destinations for LGBTQ+ tourism in Europe, will once again become the world epicenter of diversity and music in May 2026. Following the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Maspalomas Pride by Freedom 2026, which reduces its dates to 7 days and will be held from 4 al 10 de mayo, the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana is preparing for turn onr pride again with a vibrant new event: 'Eurovision Pride, the pop festival inspired by the universe of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Thus, from May 14 to 17, and only three days after the closing of Maspalomas Pride by Freedom, the lights of the stage of the Yumbo Center will shine once again to host live performances, live broadcasts of the Eurovision Song Contest galas, special galas and themed parties with the greatest pop anthems of recent decades. A giant LED screen, Sqm 60, will be installed in the central plaza to allow you to enjoy the semi-final and grand final of Eurovision 2026 in a unique atmosphere.

'Eurovision Pride' is the new festival in Gran Canaria, which will combine music, entertainment and socializing,consolidating Maspalomas as the only European destination celebrating two major international pride events, in the same month. In addition, its programming will include two exclusive pool parties en Ocean Club Maspalomas y Seven Hotel & Wellness, a grand gala dedicated to Eurovision and themed parties that will review the Eurovision hits of the years 2000, 2010 and 2020.

The president of Freedom LGBT Association Maspalomas and promoter of this new event, Fernando Ilarduya, highlighted that “Eurovision Pride was created to expand the Pride experience and offer visitors a new way to experience the Eurovision spirit, with freedom, respect, and lots of pop music.”
With this new proposal, the tourist enclave of Maspalomas reaffirms its international leadership, as a reference destination for LGBTQI+ tourism, culture and the celebration of pride, adding a new chapter to its history of diversity and coexistence
