Lopesan, one of the leading hotel companies with deep roots in Gran Canaria, confirmed to Maspalomas24H this Thursday that it has made a key move to consolidate and expand its presence in the German market, historically vital for tourism in the Canary Islands. Vojtech Tucek has been promoted to head of group sales for Germany, assuming the group's sales management from Berlin.
Tucek, who has a well-established track record in the German hotel industry, joins the management position after a rapid and upwardly mobile career within IFA by Lopesan Hotels. Tucek began his career at IFA by Lopesan Hotels in January 2025 as Sales Manager for Groups & Leisure. He has been promoted to head of group sales in just eight months, assuming the role in September 2025.
This appointment not only highlights the internal talent but also the Canary Islands group's confidence in Tucek's demonstrated sales strategy. This rapid promotion seeks to inject leadership and in-depth knowledge of the German market into the group's global sales management. Tucek brings extensive experience in the German hotel sector to the Lopesan Group, with in-depth knowledge of sales management and operational management:
Prior to joining Lopesan, Tucek held the position of Director of Sales for two and a half years (July 2022 - December 2024) in Berlin. He previously spent almost four years managing sales and serving as Assistant Director at the AHORN Seehotel Templin. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism from the Vysoká škola hotelová a ekonomická sro.
With the Canary Islands tourism industry facing challenges and a constant need to retain traditional source markets, the decision to appoint a manager with this track record to the strategic position of Head of Group Sales in Germany underscores the importance the Lopesan Group places on attracting leisure customers and managing large groups from its main European market.
