The Canary Islands Digital Innovation Center (CIDIHUB) has announced its participation as a featured speaker at the 2nd Canary Islands Aerospace Congress, a key event that seeks to position the archipelago as a hub for innovation and technology across continents. The congress, organized by the Canary Islands Aerospace Cluster (CAAC), a strategic partner of CIDIHUB, will take place from December 14 to 16, 2025, at the ExpoMeloneras by Lopesan MICE Conference Center in southern Gran Canaria. The event will bring together institutional leaders, companies, and experts to discuss the technological frontiers of the sector.

CIDIHUB's participation will focus on two strategic pillars: the presentation of joint projects developed within the European framework and the dissemination of funding and collaboration opportunities offered by the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network. As Igor Suárez Cadórniga, Director of Innovation at CIDIHUB, highlighted, the initiative actively seeks to transfer knowledge and strengthen the synergies that connect the innovation ecosystems of Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

“For CIDIHUB, participating in this congress represents an opportunity to showcase how digitalization and European cooperation can boost the competitiveness of the aerospace sector in the Canary Islands. We are committed to a collaborative model that connects talent, innovation, and financing to serve technological development,” stated Suárez Cadórniga.

The 2nd Canary Islands Aerospace Congress will address a wide range of topics crucial to the future of the industry, including dual technologies, drones, vertiports, satellite constellations, in addition to fostering STEM talent and gender equality in the sector. It will also offer dedicated spaces for networking, mentoring for startups, and presentations of cutting-edge projects. With its incorporation into the program, CIDIHUB, a node of the EDIH network that promotes digital transformation in the islands, reaffirms its commitment to open innovation, strengthening the Canary Islands' business network, and attracting technological investment to the archipelago, consolidating the Canary Islands as an advanced platform on the global aerospace map.
