The Department of Culture is organizing popular evenings of music and chestnuts in all the municipality's neighborhoods on October 31st to celebrate the traditional All Saints' Day eve with the family.
The Department of Culture of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, headed by Deputy Mayor Elena Álamo Vega and coordinated by Councilor Esther Delgado Sánchez, is organizing the "Noche de Finaos" (Finaos Night) this Friday, October 31, with community involvement in all of the municipality's neighborhoods.
This traditional celebration on the eve of All Saints' Day will take place in cultural centers, intergenerational centers, and public squares, with chestnut roasts and dancing accompanied by live music from parrandas and folk groups. It will be supported and collaborated with social groups and neighborhood associations.
In the cultural centers of Castillo del Romeral and Juan Grande, and in the squares of Tenderetunte in the town center, and in the Antonio José López and Plaza Nueva squares in Cercados de Espino, this popular activity will begin at 19:00 p.m. The evenings will be enlivened by El Molino de San Borondón, El Sedal, and the Achemencey and Pa'lante parrandas, respectively.
In El Tablero, the "Night of the Finaos" will take place in the Plaza de Pepe El Barbero and begin at 19:30 p.m. The celebration will be enlivened by the AF La Cucaña and the Parranda de Los Encinosos.
At the Maspalomas and El Pajar Cultural Centers, as well as at the Fataga Intergenerational Center, the celebration will begin at 20:00 p.m. In Maspalomas, the evening will be accompanied by music from the AF Umiaya, a crafts workshop, and the traditional performance "Let's Go Home, Paquita!" In El Pajar and Fataga, the Pajarera and A Kal y Canto parrandas will perform, respectively.
Finally, in the Plaza de Aldea Blanca, the Los Finaos festival will begin at 20:30 p.m., with the participation of the Amor Canario, Asentaos y Tumbaos, and A Kal y Canto parrandas.
