The mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Marco Aurelio Pérez Sánchez, has officially announced the tenth edition of the Maspalomas Costa Canarias Soul Festival during his participation in the prestigious World Travel Market tourism fair in London, highlighting the event as one of the most emblematic cultural events of the municipality and confirming its dates: from July 17 to 19, 2026 at San Agustín Beach.
The Maspalomas Costa Canarias Soul Festival, declared a local tourist attraction, has established itself, after a decade, as the largest soul music event in Spain and a leading festival in Europe. Organized by the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council and directed and produced by DD&Company Producciones, headed by Dania Dévora, this festival combines the charm of Gran Canaria's southern coast with a carefully curated selection of nationally and internationally renowned artists, offering a unique spectacle on the shores of the Atlantic.
But the festival goes beyond music: it's a comprehensive cultural experience that fosters community, sustainable tourism, and citizen participation. Throughout the weekend, in addition to the open-air concerts, the event will include family activities, food areas, and leisure options designed for everyone to enjoy together.
Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez emphasized during the presentation in London that “this festival, due to its international reach, is contributing to the tourism promotion of Maspalomas, but it also serves as an exemplary cultural leisure activity for the residents of the municipality, and as a driving force for our local economy.”
