Montebalito, SA, a publicly traded company headquartered in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and dedicated to real estate development, has completed a major overhaul of its board of directors following its latest registration with the Mercantile Registry of Las Palmas (dated October 28, 2025). The company is thus introducing significant changes to its corporate governance structure, with the departure of long-standing directors and the addition of new members linked to the circle of businessman José Alberto Barreras Barreras.
According to registry records, Germán Rovira Murillo is no longer a member of the board after resigning from all his positions, including those of member of the executive committee and the audit and appointments and remuneration committees. The appointments held by Metambiente, SA, have also been officially cancelled, and the company ceases to serve as a board member, chairman, and member of the executive and delegate committees, thus ending its active presence on the governing bodies of Montebalito.
Among the new appointments, José Alberto Barreras Barreras stands out, taking over as chairman of the board of directors and chairman of the executive committee. Javier Jaén Bonny joins as a board member, while Ana Belén Barreras Ruano assumes the role of CEO, in addition to being re-elected as a board member.
The re-elections of Francisco Guijarro Zubizarreta and Ana Belén Barreras Ruano have also been confirmed, ensuring continuity and experience within the new management structure. Regarding committees, Juan Antonio Laiseca Segura will chair the Appointments and Remuneration Committee, while Francisco Guijarro Zubizarreta will chair the Audit Committee.
With this reorganization, Montebalito strengthens its corporate governance and consolidates a new stage under the leadership of José Alberto Barreras, who replaces Metambiente, SA in the presidency and marks the beginning of a new management cycle with a strong presence of the Barreras group and its professional environment.
