Neighborhood cooperation was key to the on-site arrest of three alleged perpetrators
La Civil Guard (Guardia Civil) has made the "on-site" arrest of three men as alleged perpetrators of a crime of burglary in an inhabited dwelling during the early morning of October 18, 2025 in VecindarioThe incident occurred in the municipality of Las Palmas. The swift police response was made possible by citizen cooperation, after the Control Center received a report of a forced entry into a home. Upon arriving at the scene, officers surprised the individuals inside the residence and confirmed, according to neighbors, that they had violently gained entry by kicking down the front door.
The incident is particularly significant because the robbery occurred in a house inhabited by an elderly woman in her eighties, considered a vulnerable individual. Following police intervention, the victim was treated by paramedics and taken to the Insular Hospital for medical evaluation. Inside the property, clear signs of disarray and a deliberate search for valuables were found. Officers recovered several mobile phones and prevented the theft of two electric scooters.
The detainees were brought before the duty judge at the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Court of Instruction (Las Palmas). This type of incident highlights the importance of reporting any anomalies or suspicious activity to the authorities.
