The incident, which occurred last Friday and was captured by a public bus's security cameras, has been classified as especially serious due to the driver's reckless behavior. The girl received prompt medical attention from emergency services and was transferred to the Gran Canaria Maternal and Child Hospital Complex for specialized care.
Thanks to the swift police intervention, the vehicle involved was located and immobilized minutes later in Castillo del Romeral, outside the municipal limits. The charges against the detainee include alleged offenses of serious bodily harm due to negligence , leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and driving without a license, as he did not possess a valid one.
