The arrival of Storm Claudia will bring moderate rainfall to southern Gran Canaria on November 13, 2025, providing much-needed moisture after weeks of drought in the area. Locally heavy downpours will continue throughout the afternoon and early evening.

Forecasts from AEMET Canarias confirm that Storm Claudia has begun to bring beneficial rainfall to San Bartolomé de Tirajana, especially in inland and mid-altitude areas, where accumulations are more significant. This episode provides a welcome respite for southern Gran Canaria, which had been experiencing several days of dry weather and high temperatures. Models indicate that the rain will continue intermittently until late in the day, accompanied by cloudy periods and a slight drop in temperature.

Emergency services and the local council remind residents that, despite the positive nature of these rains, caution is advised in areas with ravines and roads where water may accumulate. The arrival of moderate southeasterly winds and the gradual dissipation of the haze will mark the end of this weather event, leaving a wetter and more stable outlook for the end of the week.
