The Department of Citizen Participation of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council will hold the 14th Neighborhood Meeting on Sunday, November 16, 2025 , in the South Urban Park (Maspalomas) , a day open to the public that will offer activities and shows for all ages between 10:00 and 17:00.
The event will begin at 10:00 with an official welcome accompanied by music and entertainment, followed at 10:30 by a batucada performance at the park entrance. From 11:00 to 17:00 , the public can enjoy a wide range of permanent activities: inflatables for different age groups, human foosball, a go-kart track, a climbing wall, a zip line, a children's play area, traditional games, yoga workshops, bracelet making and juggling, as well as the traditional zanga tournament and a treasure hunt for all ages.
At 11:30 a.m. , there will be a clown performance. At 12:00 p.m. , the workshop “Strengthening Citizen Participation” will take place , explaining the work carried out within the framework of the new Citizen Participation Regulations and opening a space for dialogue with associations and groups from the municipality. Throughout the day, an information stand will be available with the draft Regulations and the opportunity to register proposals directly in the park.
At 12:30, the Pa'lante band will perform. Between 13:30 and 15:00, there will be a break for lunch and rest, with the program resuming in the afternoon with a musical group performing at 15:00 and DJ music with entertainment starting at 16:30.
A gathering to reconnect with the community
The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Ruymán Cardoso , points out that “this meeting is a space to continue building community. Participation doesn't just happen in offices: it happens here, when we meet, talk, and spend time with our neighbors . ”
For his part, the First Deputy Mayor, Alejandro Marichal , highlights the social and human value of this initiative: “We live in a diverse and dynamic municipality, and we need more moments that unite us. The Neighborhood Gathering is a reminder that socializing, participating, and connecting are also ways to build our community. These spaces strengthen community life and make our families feel more supported and connected . ”
The City Council invites associations, neighborhood groups and all citizens to participate in a day designed to enjoy, share and strengthen community life in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
