Maritime Rescue of Spain carried out the rescue of seven migrants who were traveling in a small boat located eleven miles southeast of Maspalomason the island of Gran Canaria. The operation was activated after receiving a call from the vessel, which was subsequently located by the Integrated External Surveillance System (SIVE). The Las Palmas Rescue Coordination Centre (CCS) The Salvamar Macondo vessel was deployed to carry out the rescue and tow to a safe port. Among those rescued were two minors and two women, all of North African origin, who were transferred in good general condition to the Arguineguín Pier.
