The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council informs drivers using the GC-1 motorway connecting to the Lomo de Maspalomas area to access San Fernando de Maspalomas that this road will be closed to traffic on Monday, November 24th and Tuesday, November 25th due to resurfacing works in the town center.
In this regard, Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez Sánchez has issued a decree informing that the road surface rehabilitation works on the network of roads, paths, streets and heritage facilities of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council will entail the prohibition of traffic on the 24th and 25th at exit 45 of the GC-1 Highway, from 07:00 hours in the morning to 19:00 hours in the afternoon.
In addition to traffic, on those two days and within the same hours, vehicle parking will also be prohibited on the section of road where the asphalt work will be carried out, which will be undertaken on the surface of the right carriageway between the two roundabouts.
The mayor's office has issued a statement requesting the active cooperation of citizens to minimize the problems and inconveniences that these works may cause to drivers, who are urged to comply at all times with the instructions, signage and indications of the Local Police officers and the construction workers.
While the works are being carried out, drivers can access the town center of San Fernando de Maspalomas and the center of the tourist city via the entrance ramps of El Veril and the taxi service station next to the Municipal Market.
