The general manager of SPAR Gran Canaria, Dunia Pérez, has been recognized with the Tribuna Award for the Agri-food Sector in the Canary Islands for her outstanding professional career, the result of her leadership, strategic vision and capacity for innovation.
This professional received this award at the 2025 Tribuna de Canarias Awards, held last Tuesday, November 25th, at the Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. She was accompanied by her family and the president of SPAR Gran Canaria, Ángel Medina Padrón, who expressed his support for this recognition of their close collaboration and shared commitment to promoting the agri-food sector in the Canary Islands. The event was also attended by local authorities, representatives from the agri-food sector, and prominent business leaders from the archipelago.
Since 2016, she has served as General Manager of the SPAR Gran Canaria Group and currently holds the position of CEO of the Venture Capital Company (RIC), in addition to being a board member of Cenvesu—a company belonging to the SPAR Gran Canaria Group. Under her leadership, she has consolidated the chain's presence in the food sector, strengthening its business model, fostering operational excellence, and promoting initiatives that reflect its commitment to quality and service. Her management style combines professionalism, ethics, and approachability, making her a role model within the organization and the industry.
