The Gran Canaria Tourist Board and its island partners met this November with local travel agencies in Constance (Germany) to present the diversity of the destination, from its dunes to its mountain trails, seeking to strengthen the loyalty of the German market.
Gran Canaria's tourism promotion strategy has landed in Konstanz, Germany, at a roadshow event that served as a meeting point between the island's offerings and key influencers in the local market: travel agents. Under the slogan "where the sea meets the ocean"—a poetic reference to the connection between the islands and the mainland—the Gran Canaria delegation and its partners met with agency representatives for an in-depth tour of the island's tourist attractions.
The presentation focused on the destination's versatility, highlighting the classic and successful offering of sunny beaches and all-inclusive resorts, cornerstones of Central European demand. However, emphasis was placed on the need to diversify the message, promoting geographical icons such as the Maspalomas dunes, as well as the picturesque villages and mountain trails of the interior—crucial elements for tourists seeking experiences beyond the coast.
The organizers expressed their gratitude for the energy and enthusiasm of the participants in Constance. The objective of the event is clear: to transform in-depth knowledge of the island into memorable offers for end customers, ensuring that Gran Canaria remains a preferred destination for German travelers. The success of these roadshows is vital to maintaining market share in Germany, one of the most important traditional source markets for Gran Canaria's tourism economy.
