A man was seriously injured in the early hours of December 2nd after being attacked in broad daylight on Avenida de Canarias. He was stabilized at a local medical center before being urgently transferred to the University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
The events took place at 03:49 hours when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1 1 2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert indicating that a man needed immediate assistance after having suffered an attack in the middle of the street, in the municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana.
Upon arrival, the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assessed the injured person, who presented with a severe traumatic brain injury. After initial treatment, he was taken to the local health center, where he was stabilized before being transferred by ambulance to the University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
The operation involved a fully equipped ambulance, a basic life support ambulance, and a basic life support unit from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC). The Civil Guard took charge of the investigation and proceedings.
