A 69-year-old man died after the vehicle he was driving overturned on Avenida de Tirajana in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The accident occurred in the early hours of the morning and mobilized numerous emergency services.
The incident occurred at 03:56 a.m. on December 4, 2025, when the CECOES 1-1-2 Emergency and Security Coordination Center received a call reporting that a car had overturned after colliding with a roundabout on the aforementioned road in Maspalomas. From that moment, a large-scale response operation was activated, involving firefighters, paramedics, and law enforcement.
Firefighters from the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Fire and Rescue Service secured the vehicle and freed its sole occupant, who had been trapped inside after the impact. Paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) found the man in cardiac arrest and performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but were ultimately only able to confirm his death.
The operation involved a fully equipped ambulance and a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), as well as the Local Police, who filed the official report and carried out the corresponding legal proceedings. The National Police collaborated in the emergency response to ensure safety in the area and support the operation.
