A 61-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after suffering a fall on the Los Palmitos road, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, on Saturday morning.
The accident occurred at 10:17 a.m. on December 6, 2025, when the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 received a call alerting them that a motorcyclist required urgent medical assistance after a fall on the aforementioned road in southern Gran Canaria. The necessary emergency resources were immediately activated to respond to the incident.
Upon arrival at the scene, the medical staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assisted the affected man, a 61-year-old who presented with serious polytrauma, proceeding to transfer him by medical ambulance to the University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where he was admitted in critical condition.
The operation involved a medical ambulance and a basic life support ambulance from the SUC, as well as local police officers, who took charge of traffic control and preparing the corresponding report to clarify the circumstances in which the accident occurred.
