CaixaBank and the University of the Hesperides have announced a crucial collaboration agreement that will facilitate access to online higher education. Thanks to this partnership, students at the Canary Islands-based university will be able to access MicroBank's Skills & Education program, designed to cover up to 100% of academic expenses for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees, with a maximum amount of €30.000.
The main advantage of this loan, which stems from an agreement between MicroBank and the European Investment Fund (EIF), is that it requires no collateral and allows financing of both tuition fees and other expenses related to studies or living expenses. Furthermore, it offers the option of deferring repayment for up to one year after graduation and can even be accessed via mobile phone for imagin customers.
The formalization of the agreement took place at the headquarters of the University of the Hesperides, with the presence of Gabriel Calzada and Gonzalo Melián (rector and vice-rector of the university), along with Manuel Afonso and Cristina Daranas (directors of CaixaBank), thus sealing a commitment to the comprehensive training and academic excellence of a center that is committed to critical thinking and international projection.
