The Department of Culture is seeking talent in music, dance, acrobatics, magic, and comedy. Registration for individual and group participation, for ages 5 and up, ends this Thursday, the 18th.
The Department of Culture of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council announces the second edition of the Maspalomas Talent Show, which will be held in the South Urban Park next Sunday, December 21, with the purpose of promoting the talent of the participants in artistic disciplines such as music, dance, acrobatics, magic and humor among others.
Registration requires the mandatory completion of a form that can be downloaded from the City Council's website (www.maspalomas.com) or request it via email ppgad@pucrs.brOnce completed, the form should be sent back to the same email address along with the backing track you intend to perform. Additionally, in the case of minors, parental or legal guardian authorization is required. The registration period ends this Thursday, the 18th.
Anyone who wishes to participate in the competition may do so upon presentation of the registration form along with the musical accompaniment to be performed. Participation may be individual or in groups, starting from the age of 5. Performers may only submit one performance, which may not exceed 3 minutes. The competition offers three prizes of 500, 300, and 100 euros, respectively.
This competition is part of the program of events for Christmas Around the World, which the Department of Culture, directed by Elena Álamo Vega and coordinated by councilor Esther Delgado Sánchez, is activating for the second consecutive year this Saturday the 20th from 17:00 pm in the South Park.
Christmas Around the World
The opening day of World Christmas will feature a motorcycle route, a musical performance by Trio Pica Pica for the little ones at 18:00 p.m., and subsequent concerts by Maldita EGB (20:00 p.m.) and Los 600 (21:30 p.m.).
In addition, the World Christmas cultural program also includes various workshops to enjoy as a family, an ice rink, a little train to tour the Park, inflatables, a Christmas House, a Lego workshop with different sizes (Legonavidad); the World Christmas Expo exhibition, the Star Corner and the Christmas theater, among other experiences.
The World Christmas program runs from this Saturday, December 20th, to January 4th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM every day except December 21st and 28th, and January 4th. On those days, the program will be extended with two sessions: from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. There will be no program on December 24th and 31st, and January 1st, although visitors can still enjoy the environmental and Christmas-themed attractions offered by the decorated grounds.
