The National Police dismantle an active drug dealing point in San Fernando that operated from a hair salon

 

Judicial Police officers from the Maspalomas and Telde police stations carried out a joint police operation that dismantled an active drug sales point in San Fernando de Maspalomas, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, as part of a judicial investigation for a crime against public health.

 

The investigation began after officers received information suggesting the possible existence of a drug-dealing operation disguised as a legitimate business. Subsequent checks confirmed the initial suspicions and revealed a constant flow of people at a barbershop located in the Bellavista shopping center.

 

As the investigations progressed, the investigators found that one of those involved had a record for crimes against public health and that, allegedly, he used the establishment as a cover for the distribution of narcotics, taking advantage of the usual flow of customers to go unnoticed.

 

During the operation, the police operation extended to other areas linked to the suspects, including an adjacent premises rented by one of the detainees and his home in the municipality of Telde, where some of the seized substances were located.

 

During the searches carried out, the agents seized 144,06 grams of cocaine and 5.425 grams of hashish, as well as various materials intended for the manipulation, dosage and distribution of the drug, in addition to computer and electronic effects related to the investigated activity.

 

The police operation culminated in the arrest of two men, the owner and an employee of the establishment, and the definitive dismantling of the point of sale, putting an end to the unease and social alarm that had been affecting the commercial environment. 

 

After being brought before the competent judicial authority, the owner of the establishment was imprisoned.
