More than 500 seniors from San Bartolomé de Tirajana celebrate the traditional Christmas dinner together at the Aeroclub restaurant

 

More than 500 senior citizens from all neighborhoods of the municipality participated Tuesday night in the traditional Christmas dinner organized by the Senior Citizens Department of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, held at the Aeroclub restaurant. "This gathering was designed to foster camaraderie, fellowship, and strengthen the bonds that unite those who have been and continue to be a fundamental part of the municipality's history," explained First Deputy Mayor Alejandro Marichal.

 

 

 

The evening was marked by a family atmosphere and shared excitement. One of the most anticipated moments was the raffle of nearly 50 prizes, including Christmas hampers, hotel stays, spa sessions, cosmetic gift baskets, small appliances, lunches or dinners at local restaurants, urban dance classes, and more.

 

 

 

The Senior Citizens' Department expressed its special gratitude to the local businesses that generously contribute gifts to this celebration year after year. "Their commitment grows each year, making this event even more special for our senior citizens," said Councilor for Senior Citizens, Dimas Sarmiento, who described the evening as "a simple, intimate, and heartwarming night that once again demonstrated that caring for our seniors also means creating spaces for connection, joy, and shared appreciation."
