The Department of Festivals and Events is organizing a new edition of the Children's New Year's Eve Celebration, known as KidsMas, this Sunday, December 28th. This festive day is designed for families to ring in 2025 with their little ones in Playa del Inglés, near Annex II. The event will take place from 11:00 AM to 17:00 PM and will transform the Maspalomas coast into a space dedicated exclusively to children, with free activities accessible to all families.
This third edition consolidates a project that began in 2023 and, for the third consecutive year, is once again a key event in the municipal Christmas calendar. The Maspalomas Children's New Year's Eve program – KidsMas – includes children's entertainment, inflatables, creative workshops, play areas, and family activities. Highlights include the musical show 'Rudolf, a Christmas Dream' and a K-POP group performance to close the event.
The Councillor for Festivals, Events and Tourism, Yilenia Vega, emphasizes that “this year we are committed to further strengthening an initiative that was born with the intention of creating a safe and festive space for children to experience their own New Year's Eve. We want families to enjoy the magic of December 28th in an emblematic location in the municipality. It is a day designed for them, during the daytime, with activities that encourage participation.”
The event aims to provide families with an early end to the year that prioritizes togetherness and social interaction between generations. Its beach location, open format, and free admission reinforce the public nature of this well-established activity within the municipality's Christmas calendar.
With this third edition, the Department of Festivals and Events is consolidating a project that will continue to develop as an annual event aimed especially at children and families visiting San Bartolomé de Tirajana during the Christmas season. The Children's New Year's Eve Celebration will take place on Sunday, December 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m., next to Annex II of Playa del Inglés, with free admission and a program designed for the enjoyment of participating families.
