Yilenia Vega: “We encourage children to come with their letters and give them to Their Majesties. It's a night to dream big and experience the magic with family on the eve of Three Kings Day.”

The Department of Festivals and Events is organizing the Three Kings Parade in Maspalomas next Sunday, January 5th. This event is designed for families and children to enjoy an afternoon of magic together in the streets, on the eve of Three Kings Day. The parade will begin at 17:30 p.m. and will travel along some of the main avenues in the area, ending in San Fernando Park, where the official reception for Their Majesties and the closing musical program will take place.

The parade will begin on Avenida de Estados Unidos, near the Yumbo Shopping Center, and continue along Avenida de Tirajana. It will then proceed to the San Fernando Pavilion and, from there, continue along Avenida de Tejeda, concluding in San Fernando Park. Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early and choose the section of the route that is most convenient, especially those attending with children, strollers, seniors, or people with reduced mobility.

The most anticipated moment will arrive at the end of the parade route, with the arrival of Their Majesties the Three Kings at 20:30 p.m. in San Fernando Park. From there, the evening will continue with a concert by the band Muelle Viejo at 22:00 p.m. and, to close the festivities, a second concert at 23:30 p.m. by Kilian Viera, which will bring the day's celebrations to a close.

The Councillor for Festivities and Events, Yilenia Vega, emphasizes that the parade is designed to make Three Kings' Eve a truly exciting experience: “We encourage families to come out, share the afternoon, and above all, for children to bring their letters to give to Their Majesties. That is the essence of this night, that wishes can begin to come true.”

In addition to the parade, the Department of Festivals and Events has been running the "From the East to the Neighborhoods" initiative in recent weeks. This route was created to bring the magic of the season to different parts of the municipality and allow children to deliver their letters to the Three Kings in their own communities. The route began on Friday, December 19th in Montaña La Data and has already passed through Ayagaures, Lomo Gordo, San Fernando, Lomo Perera, Montaña Blanca, Calderín, Fataga, Tunte, Juan Grande, Castillo del Romeral, El Pajar, and Salinas del Matorral, among other locations included in the program.

The council reminds everyone that there are still several dates left to participate in this route: December 30th at Rodeo KM 40 (from 5:00 PM to 17:00 PM); Friday, January 2nd at El Salobre (from 19:00 PM to 17:00 PM); Saturday, January 3rd at Cercados de Espino (from 11:30 AM to 19:00 PM) and at El Tablero (from 13:00 PM to 17:00 PM); and the final stop will be on Sunday, January 4th at Aldea Blanca (from 11:00 AM to 19:00 PM). With these activities, the Festivals and Events Department invites residents to take advantage of these last few days to submit their letters and enjoy a Three Kings' Day afternoon in Maspalomas on January 13th, designed for families to enjoy together.
