The weather is giving a break in the south of Gran Canaria with sunshine and stable temperatures

Maspalomas24h Sunday, January 25, 2026

According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) in the Canary Islands, the south of Gran Canaria faces a week marked by atmospheric stability, with a predominance of sunshine, mild temperatures and an absence of adverse weather phenomena.

During this period, from January 25 to February 1, 2026, the south of the island, especially in municipalities such as San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Mogán, Ingenio, and Agüimes, will experience mostly clear or partly cloudy skies, with maximum temperatures between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius, while nighttime lows will range between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius. The wind will generally blow from the northeast, moderate at times, but without reaching significant intensity, contributing to a pleasant temperature.

Regarding sea conditions on the south coast, AEMET forecasts stable conditions, with weak to moderate waves and generally calm seas, which will allow the normal development of maritime and recreational activities on beaches and coastal areas of southern Gran Canaria throughout the week.

Meanwhile, in the north of Gran Canaria, somewhat more variable weather is expected, with cloudy intervals, especially in the early morning and late evening, and slightly cooler temperatures, although no significant rainfall or unstable conditions are forecast during the period analyzed.
