Adepsi strengthens the social agenda of the hotel sector in the south of Gran Canaria

In an environment where service excellence is the main indicator of profitability, the Catalan chain Princess Hotels in southern Gran Canaria has taken a firm step in its corporate responsibility and talent management strategy. This January, nearly 50 company professionals participated in a high-impact awareness workshop led by specialists Lucía Reyes and Sara Rodríguez from the Adepsi association.

This meeting not only addresses an ethical need but also a clear financial vision: diverse and accessible work environments reduce turnover and drastically improve the work climate. The workshop, part of the Ecadepsi Gran Canaria and +Empresas projects, focused on equipping staff with practical tools for effective workplace inclusion.

The initiative is particularly significant due to its funding structure, which underscores the public-private partnership in the region. The Ecadepsi Gran Canaria project is subsidized by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) and managed by the Canary Islands Employment Service (SCE). This support ensures that companies can access these awareness workshops free of charge, allowing tourism assets such as the Princess hotels to optimize their inclusion processes without increasing their operating expenses.

According to Adepsi, the management of the Catalan hotel chain Princess Hotels Canarias, by including its staff in this reflection process, demonstrates that inclusion has moved beyond a mere statement of intent to become a way of working. For industry analysts, these kinds of actions strengthen brand reputation in an increasingly demanding international market that values diversity and social sustainability.
