AEDAS Homes (Blackrock) continues its real estate agenda in the Canary Islands with the launch of unique residential developments in privileged enclaves, attracting the interest of German and British investors. The latest of these select projects is called Oase. It is the first large development of wooden-framed homes to be developed in the Canary Islands and the first development to be built in the last 20 years in Meloneras, in San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Gran Canaria). So far, the market has given a very good reception to the Oase development, which is now on sale. "In the pre-marketing phase, the project has generated a lot of interest and this has translated into a very good sales rate," reports the company, highlighting the interest of international investors.

"AEDAS Homes is putting a unique residential complex on the market due to its exceptional location, extraordinary homes and high sustainability. The company is launching its long-awaited project in Meloneras, one of the most exclusive areas of Gran Canaria. A project that is also unique because it will be the first large-scale project to be built in the Canary Islands in an industrialised manner and with a wooden structure, the most sustainable and environmentally friendly material that exists," Antonio González, AEDAS Homes representative in the Canary Islands, told Maspalomas24H.

Beyond Oase's excellent location and its strong commitment to the environment through an innovative structure made with technological wood, the development stands out as an exceptional residential product on the entire island: it will house 96 single-family homes with 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms with large private gardens and spacious interiors, from their generous bedrooms to a large open space that integrates the living room, kitchen and dining room. This project has sparked the interest of German and British investors due to its innovation and sustainability.

“We are talking about an offer designed for a demanding client who seeks exclusivity, quality, tranquillity, privacy, security and a wide and varied range of high-quality services, both in the development and in the surrounding area. A development located in one of the most exclusive areas in the south of Gran Canaria,” stresses Antonio González. He adds: “Oase will be located less than three kilometres from the Maspalomas dunes, less than 30 minutes from Gran Canaria Airport, will have two golf courses nearby (Meloneras Golf and Maspalomas Golf) and will be less than five minutes by car from the Port of Pasito Blanco.”

With Oase, AEDAS Homes has now implemented the use of wood in the structures or facades of seven developments, both in single-family homes and high-rise buildings, spread across Spain. The first, Fioresta, in San Juan de Alicante, which has already been delivered, has even been recognised for its construction innovation in national and international awards. In addition, AEDAS Homes has used wood in Eneida and Eneida Views (in Llucmajor, Mallorca), Avalon Delibes (Madrid), Maremma (Mallorca) and Ilex, in Godella (Valencia).

As the Delegate recalls, “wood is 100% natural and is the material with the lowest carbon footprint in the construction sector because not only does it not emit CO2 during its manufacture and growth, but it absorbs it and acts as a CO2 reservoir.” “It is sustainable. It is recyclable. It is the best insulator. And, in addition, it is resistant, durable and perfect for use in industrial processes. The correct use of wood from certified forests also contributes to caring for the environment and to the well-being of people,” he concludes.

At company level, Oase represents the entry of AEDAS Homes in the south of Gran Canaria, consolidating the developer as a benchmark in the second home market in the Canary Islands, both on the island of Gran Canaria, where it has already delivered the Gazmira development (68 homes) and is building Singulare (32), both in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; and on the island of Tenerife, where it is developing four developments with more than 350 properties in the Serene (Adeje), Solum (Guía de Isora), Carena and Carena Waves projects, both in El Médano. In total, and with the new 96 Oase units, AEDAS Homes already exceeds 500 homes in the Canary Islands, with growing interest from German and British investors.
