The El Tablero Festival celebrates its grand weekend with a packed program of activities for all ages, culminating on Sunday with one of its most anticipated events: the Grand Paella. This year, the iconic gastronomic event will have an even more special flavor, as ten residents of the neighborhood have been invited to join the team that will cook this giant paella, designed for more than 5.000 people; a unique experience that unites tradition, community, and neighborhood participation.
The gastronomic event will take place on Sunday, May 18th at 14:00 PM outside the El Tablero Municipal Sports Pavilion, followed by a lively open-air dance with Paco Guedes and Ochentour . The festivities will conclude with a performance by comedian Petite Lorena in El Tablero Square at 21:30 PM . But before that, the weekend's program is packed with recreational, cultural, and religious activities.
To kick things off, this Thursday the 15th, Senior Citizens' Day will be celebrated in El Tablero's Public Square, starting at 19:00 PM . It's a day dedicated to seniors, where they'll share refreshments and snacks. Friday will begin with children's activities at 18:00 PM for the little ones, and then, starting at 21:00 PM , the stage will be filled with local talent with the highly anticipated SCALA en HI FI event , dedicated to the great Spanish artists who have participated in Eurovision, presented by the Moonster Cultural Association . In addition, there will be musical performances by the singer Nia , Ochentour , and DJ Ardy , all in the Public Square.
Saturday 's events begin at 11:00 AM with a domino tournament, followed at 16:00 PM by the traditional "Bajada de la Rama" (Descent of the Branch) , one of the most anticipated events for the residents of El Tablero, which will culminate in a fun foam party . The Plaza de El Tablero will then come alive with music at 23:00 PM , featuring performances by Armonía Show , Ritmo Bakano , and DJ Yunes.
Sunday begins with the Solemn Religious Service at 12:00 pm , accompanied by a sung Mass performed by the Friends of the Greasy Pole Association , followed by a procession through the neighborhood streets. At 14:00 pm , the much-anticipated Grand Community Paella will take place , a symbol of unity and collective celebration.
