The Association of Elite Clubs of Gran Canaria and San Roque University Hospitals (HUSR) have consolidated a strategic alliance for the second consecutive year that unites health and high sports performance.
Throughout the months of July to September, some 170 elite athletes will undergo their preseason medical check-ups at the facilities of San Roque University Hospitals in Las Palmas, under the supervision of a multidisciplinary team specializing in sports medicine, composed of professionals from Cardiology, General Medicine, Sports Medicine, Nursing and other specialties.

The reviews have begun with the Remudas Isla de Gran Canaria Handball Club (Rocasa) , starting the planned schedule for all teams belonging to the Association.
The Gran Canaria Elite Club is made up of the teams Club Deportivo Balonmano Remudas Isla de Gran Canaria (Rocasa), Club Voleibol JAV Olímpico, Club Hockey Molina Sport, ADM Econy, Unión Deportiva Taburiente, Club Voleibol Guaguas, Club Voleibol Sayre Mayser, Club Deportivo Voleibol San Roque and Club Deportivo Teldeportivo.
This collaboration between both institutions marks a milestone in the integration of highly specialized medicine with professional sport , reaffirming a firm commitment to promoting healthy performance and medical prevention in elite island sport.
